进行文化渗透，国外的圣诞节是什么样子的，吸引学生的注意力。圣诞节是西方最重要的一个节日，就像中国的春节一样。
Brain storm发散了学生的思维，三类词汇的拓展为下一个环节课文内容做好铺垫。
两个小动画的播放激发学生的兴趣，合理引入圣诞节这一学习

基于本课的特点，我在教学设想和学法指导上，坚持以圣诞节这一话题为核心，以理解文本信息为主线，以任务型活动安排本课教学，通过听录音、看图、看动画、联系上下文等形式来完成这些任务，帮助学生在完成任务的过程中提升其听、说、读、写的能力。
理解和运用First/Next/Then/Finally, …一系列表示先后顺序的副词结构；
能灵活运用buy, put等动词及短语描述圣诞节的有关活动与习俗
以“Christmas is a western holiday. Do you know more about it?”引出一些西方国家欢度圣诞节的图片， |

让学生能在真实的情境中，结合已有的语言知识，操练本课的重点句型，从而提高学生的综合语言运用能力。让学生们从展示自我的过程中，一步步地提升自信心，不断享受到成功的喜悦, 加深对英语学习的浓厚兴趣。
通过跟着录音读，齐读的方式巩固课文内容，提高学生“读”的能力。
在圣诞节来临之际，Mike和家人一起准备和庆祝圣诞节的一系列活动。按时间先后顺序，课文分别展示了购买圣诞树和圣诞礼物、装扮圣诞树、在平安夜将长筒袜放置在床头以及在圣诞日吃大餐等多个场景。
通过书面练习和复述活动，学生能进一步巩固课文的内容，提高学生书写和口头表达能力。设计自己节假日的活动，学生充分的被调动起来，同学之间能进行交流，也提高了学生“说”的能力。 |
